Electrical stimulation is a core physical therapy modality — pain modulation, muscle re-education, and recruitment in an inhibited muscle. Used for NMES to re-educate an inhibited quad post-op, or TENS for pain control so the patient can tolerate therapeutic exercise. BodyMed® Oval Carbon Electrode, 1.5" x 2.5", fabric back, 4 per pack. Self-adhering carbon electrode for use with TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) and EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) units. The adhesive gel layer allows easy application and multiple uses: peel the electrode from the plastic liner, apply it to the treatment area, and return it to the liner after treatment for later use.
