Thermal modalities prepare tissue for physical therapy exercise and manage the response afterward. Moist heat before manual therapy and stretching to improve tissue extensibility; cold after exercise to manage post-treatment soreness. Electric heating pad with 4 settings (Warm, Lo, Med, Hi) and auto shut-off. An LED display shows the selected setting. For moist heat, wet the removable sponge, wring it out and place it inside the cover with the pad. Machine-washable cover. For temporary relief of discomfort from muscle strains and sprains and joint discomfort.
